Drive, Ride or Watch: The Learning Leaders’ Involvement in Employee Engagement

Employee engagement is a key driver of business results. According to a recent Gallup poll, companies with engaged employees out perform their peers with less engaged employees by 10% on customer ratings, 22% in profitability, and 21% in productivity. (Sorenson, 2016) Engaged employees bring their discretionary effort to work, and go above and beyond their job duties to help their organization achieve success. Every year, more companies roll out new Employee Engagement programs, trying to find a solution to engage more of their workforce.

What about the learning and development function? How can we take the lead to help drive the level of employee engagement in our organizations? This essentials program will provide an overview of the essential strategies learning and development leaders can drive to impact employee engagement.

This interactive, practical program will provide tools and strategies to equip learning leaders to add value in the area of employee engagement for their organization

Participants will learn how to:

  • Define employee engagement and describe its importance relative to driving business results
  • Assess the learning related factors that contribute to employee engagement
  • Identify strategies to drive employee engagement through on-boarding, employee development, and leadership/management development
  • Incorporate employee development factors in needs assessment and evaluation methodology to measure impact
