Aligning Business and Learning Outcomes for Measurable Impact
Learning should always align with business outcomes since it is a critical enabler to achieving them. To do this, we have to be able to write holistic learning outcomes that answer the question, What do learners need to be able to do "out there" in their role that we (instructional designers/trainers) are responsible for "in here" that will impact the organization's results? We also need to be able to determine the most effective learning assessment that will give us the best evidence of learning and be able to identify the essential content that is necessary to meet the learning outcomes in the least amount of time.
This session will introduce a proven outcomes-based model and design tool that will ensure alignment of outcomes, learning assessment and essential content.
