Virtual Management & Training: Taking Technology to Task

Managing and training virtual teams and the tech-driven process they require can sometimes feel complex or frustrating. Knowing the eight types of workplace technology and which work best for your management and/or training objects is really all you need!

The authors of the recent ATD Press book, The Unashamed Guide to Virtual Management, Ben and Kathy will be joining us to talk with us about how we really do have all the tools we need at our fingertips for the best management and training efforts, we just need to know the best tools for the goals. No matter who you manage or train, where, or what brand of technology - nothing can stop you from becoming a powerful and successful virtual manager with the right insights.

During the session we will:

  • Apply eight forms of virtual management technology for your best management and training intentions at your job the very next day.
  • Discover a new level of comfort and control with different virtual management technologies for you and your team.

About your presenters:

Ben Bisbee is currently the CVO at Rhinocorn, a design house for nonprofit innovation and advancement projects. He is also the co-author of the new book "The Unashamed Guide to Virtual Management" published by ATD Press. He is a nationally recognized author, speaker, and problem-solver.

Considering himself a social technologist, Bisbee is quickly becoming known for his work in virtual technology and methodologies, helping to build strengthened relationships between humans and the technology they use to work, play, and engage.

Kathy Wisniewski is a nonprofit professional with more than 20 years of experience. Currently serving as the executive board administrator for the Histiocyte Society, she specializes in volunteer and board administration, and scouts, plans, and executes the society’s annual meeting. Kathy is also a certified health coach and owner of True and Lasting Wellness, where she conducts primarily virtual health coaching for nonprofit professionals, helping them discover and reach their health and wellness goals. Both endeavors have honed her virtual management skills and deepened her appreciation for the advantages of technology in being able to reach a larger audience in our virtual world.

Who should attend? Trainers, Educators, Managers, Team Leaders, and anyone interested in understanding more about managing or working with a virtual team.
